Justin Duran

Associate Attorney
Justin J. Duran earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law in 2018. While in law school, he received Book Awards in both Trial Advocacy and Advanced Trial Advocacy—distinctions awarded to the top student in each course.
After graduation, Mr. Duran began his career as an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, where he handled a high volume of misdemeanor and felony cases and quickly gained extensive courtroom experience. He later practiced at a private criminal defense firm before founding his own practice. Over the course of his career, he has secured numerous not guilty verdicts and favorable outcomes for his clients, serving as first-chair trial counsel and handling cases from intake through verdict.
Mr. Duran approaches every case with the same core commitment: thorough preparation, strategic motion practice, and relentless advocacy focused on protecting his clients’ rights and best interests. For him, defending a client is not simply about navigating the legal system—it is about standing beside someone during one of the most difficult moments of their life and fighting for the best possible result.
In addition to his practice, Mr. Duran serves as an Adjunct Professor and Head Trial Team Coach at Florida International University College of Law. In that role, he mentors and trains aspiring trial attorneys in case theory development, courtroom presentation, and the fundamentals of persuasive advocacy. He has led the team to multiple state and regional championships.
